After losing a truck in an accident, the Hazle Township Fire & Rescue Company 141 was in the market for a new apparatus to add to its fleet. The department explored new units, receiving three quotes. Factoring in the cost and production times of a brand-new truck, these were not feasible options. Instead, the department ended up with a 2018 Pierce Enforcer 107’ Aerial Quint for a fraction of the price and much quicker delivery time.

“We looked at some trucks on the used market that were over 30 years old, but were happy when we found this 6-year-old, low mileage cherry truck,” said Fire Chief Scott Kostician. “It saved our township over half a million dollars and will last for us for many years.”

The Hazle Township Fire & Rescue Co. 141 and Jared Nolt at Command Fire Apparatus worked together to ensure they found the right truck to serve the department and the community they serve.

“Jared worked with the township board to get things done. He was able to keep me updated on the trucks progress from the time we signed the contract until we took delivery of the truck. It was a great experience,” said Chief Kostician. “It was very close to the new trucks we were quoting. Command was able to make a few changes to the truck that our department wanted.”

Chief Kostician expressed he would recommend Command Fire Apparatus to anybody looking to purchase a truck, and will be contacting the Command team should the need arise down the road.
