The Wysox Volunteer Fire Company in Wysox, PA purchased a 2007 American LaFrance 75 ft quint with seating for six, 2000 GPM pump, 500 gallon tank with a stainless steel body and roll up doors from Command Fire Apparatus LLC. Wysox VFC has 35 members and is an all volunteer fire company. They replaced a 1996 HME pumper with this truck.

They purchased this vehicle because of numerous natural gas companies locating to their area. Their first due area is 63 square miles and is mostly rural. They utilize a 1984 GMC attack / brush truck with 500 GPM pump, 2000 Freightliner rescue with 500 GPM pump and 30 gallons of foam, 2011 International 2000 gallon tanker, 1996 HME 1500 GPM pumper, 2011 Can Am Commander ATV wildland suppression unit and a 14ft Achilles Inflatable boat 30 hp Johnson rescue pro.

Their apparatus purchasing committee consisted of Chief Brett Keeney, 1st Assistant Tracy Gowin, 2nd Assistant Ray Mcguire and Rescue Chief Chad Benjamin. Two square miles of their town is getting town water which is causing mass industrial and commercial growth in their area. They run an estimated 300 calls a year and they do not run EMS calls.
